Opening date: 04 May 2025
End date: 04 July 2025

The exhibition “Arthur Szyk, Man of Dialogue”. organized by the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in Łódź, has been displayed in several cities across the country. We are proud to host the exhibition at its final stop at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem, in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Israel. The exhibition showcases the rich body of work of the renowned painter Arthur Szyk and his warm connection to the Zionist movement and the Jewish people.

Szyk, born in Łódź in 1894, worked mainly in Poland and the United States. His paintings are full of national and Jewish motifs and deal extensively with his struggle against antisemitism in general and Nazism in particular, as well as his support for equal rights for Black people in the United States and his affiliation to the Revisionist movement. Szyk passed away in 1951 in the United States.

Exhibition Curator: Ms. Joanna Podolska.
