The week’s Torah portion in the memory of Danieli Sonnenfeld
“Chug Parshat Hashavua” – the Begin Center’s study of the weekly Torah portion – is opening its doors to the general public for the thirteenth year. This is a continuation of the tradition instituted by Menachem Begin as prime minister, where lectures and discussions on the Torah portion were held in the Prime Minister’s Residence every week.
Sefer Bereshit (Genesis): Chaim Navon, rabbi, writer and publicist
Sefer Shemot (Exodus): Malka Piotrkowsky, a public figure and activist for women’s rights who studies and teaches Gemara and Halachah.
Sefer Vayikra (Leviticus): Rabbi David Menachem, cantor and singer. Moderator on Channel Meir and Channel Orot. Winner of the Jerusalem Prize for “the Unity of Israel”.
Sefer Bamidbar (Numbers): Hillel Mali, researcher on Jerusalem, musician and doctor of Talmud.
Please Note! On December 14th, the second night of Chanukah, there will be no Parshat Hashavua.
